It’s Official, Tameka Foster Raymond Files Appeal

Two days after Tameka Foster Raymond lost custody of her two young sons with Usher Raymond, we learned that she would be filing an appeal. And reportedly this week, that is exactly what she did. What ground will Tameka be filing an appeal on? Tameka insists that Usher’s attorney had a past inappropriate relationship with Judge Lane (who presided over the trial). Specifically, she allegs that in 2008 Usher’s lawyer was personally responsible for nearly half of the contributions to the judge’s re-election campaign. Tameka also alleges that Usher’s camp did not prove that she was unfit or incapable of caring for their sons. Outside of Usher making a public appearance in Los Angeles and Tameka’s twitter statement, both have kept a low profile since the court’s decision. No official response has been shared from either side. And no word on when the judge will rule on Tameka’s motion. [TMZ, AJC]
