[UPDATED] An Emotional Momma Dee & Erica Dixon Help Lil Scrappy Turn Himself Into Jail

Fresh off the season premiere of Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta, the self-proclaimed “Prince of The South” Lil Scrappy  turned himself into Atlanta police Tuesday morning, after refusing to submit to a court-ordered urine test. The past few weeks, Scrappy has been a no-show for a the show’s promo events and now he may not be seen on any red carpet anytime soon.

Not a stranger to legal issues, Scrappy is also dealing with creditors garnishing his LLHATL wages and battling party promoters. Now, after violating probation in March by submitting fraudulent urine to his probation officer, the 29 year-old rapper turned reality star has even bigger problems on his hands. According to officials, he tried to turn in a urine sample that was cold to the touch and they believed that it may have been tampered with. Once he refused to resubmit his urine, a warrant was issued for his arrest. Scrappy spent his morning turning himself into Georgia authorities.

Surrounded by his duo of support – Momma Dee and his finance’ Erica Dixon, Scrappy made the trip to the courts with the VH1 cameras (not missing a beat) in tow.

UPDATED: Welp, that was quick. According to his Twitter, Scrappy is a free man. Wednesday afternoon, he tweeted:
