Gay Marriage Now Legal in New York

In 30 days, same-sex marriages will legally be allowed to take place in the state of New York. On Friday evening, the state became the sixth and most populous U.S. state to allow gay marriage. State senators voted 33-29 to approve marriage equality legislation. Governor Andrew Cuomo was responsible for introducing the measure and signed it into law. At the news conference he shared, “This vote today will send a message across the country. This is the way to go, the time to do it is now, and it is achievable; it’s no longer a dream or an aspiration. I think you’re going to see a rapid evolution.” Dope! Peep the full story here.
