J.Cole Addresses Rihanna Sex Tape Rumor, “That’s a genius rumor.”

Recently J. Cole, whose album is currently number 1 on the Billboard charts, hit up Sirius XM radio to talk about the stolen phone, the Rihanna sex tape rumor, his plans for the near future, and more. He also performed one of his new singles from his album. Peep a few excerpts:
On The Fan Who Stole His Phone:
“We were in Vancouver, and the stage was super close to the crowd. The whole show they were grabbing onto my pants, which I‘m not complaining about. So then I came back out to do a couple songs on the encore and the next thing I know I get off the stage and I’m checking for my phone and my phone is gone. Luckily my man was recording it because, you know we record most of the shows. So we went to the footage and sure enough you could see the girl pushing the phone up through my pants, through my pocket. And it just fell out and the girl just grabbed it and tried to act like nothing happened. It was crazy. I had to threaten her on twitter. I was like, ‘Yo, to the girl with the white shirt and the pink bra if you do not want this World Star fame that I’m bout to give you tomorrow, I suggest that you give me the phone back.’ So we were calling the phone, and sure enough the next time she called, she was like ‘Hello, is this J. Cole?’ I was trying to be super nice, like ‘Yo, what you got my phone for?’ She was like ‘I’m sorry, I was a lil’ tipsy, I didn’t know what I was doing.’ But I got that phone back though.”
On The Rihanna Sex Tape That Was Supposedly On The Phone:
“None of that’s true. That’s a genius rumor though. Either they were sitting around waiting to go with that rumor and they were like ‘ahh, perfect timing.’ Because it was the day after my phone got stolen. I always wondered how these things work but of course not, if it was a sex tape you would have seen it by now. Who’s gonna hold onto a Rihanna sex tape for that long?”
On if Him & Rihanna Are Still Friends Afterwards:
“Yea, that’s a laughing thing. We family, we got the whole RocNation connection. So I just got a taste of what she probably goes through all the time. I’m not into the rumors and all that, but I’m sure being an artist of that stature, she gets that all the time. I just happened to be the person that was involved with it.”
On What’s Next for J. Cole:
“I’m on a world tour right now. We just did Canada and now we’re doing the States for the rest of October and then we’re going to UK and Europe. Then I come back in December, hit the beach for like 2 days, and come right back. I’m already working on album number 2 right now.”
On How His Fans Make Him Feel:
“It feels incredible. It feels like the way it should be done, organic. Really I put this album out with no smash record. I’m running off the energy of my fans and the quality of the music, period. And I don’t know if that’s been done before in Hip Hop.”
