Shaq’s Ex-Mistress, Vanessa Lopez, Sues Him

36-year-old Shaquille Rashaun O’Neal is back in court and it’s not because of Shaunie, his ex-wife, this time.  Vanessa Lopez, Shaq‘s former mistress, is suing him for assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress and a number of other claims. Allegedly, it all started when Lopez thought she was pregnant, while Shaq was married to Shaunie.  According to Lopez, Shaq started harassing her and denying the pregnancy, accusing her of sleeping with other men, etc.  After Lopez broke up with him, she says that’s when his  threats began. In the suit, Lopez outlines several scary incidents including a threatening text, allegedly sent by Shaq to a friend, saying,

“dis is da numba shut dat b*tch up!”

Shaq tried to have the case dismissed by the judge, but his request was denied.  The only element of the case the judge was willing to dismiss was an invasion of privacy claim. We’ll keep you posted as this unfolds.
