Tamar Braxton Talks Spin-Off Show, “Everyone sees me as the loud mouth sister.”
Last week, we reported that Tamar Braxton and her husband, Vincent Herbert, had landed a new reality show. Now we’re back with more details. The show will be titled “Tamar and Vince,” and the couple will begin filming for it in March 2012. This week Tamar did an interview with The Insider, in which she talked about the show, her new (tricked-out) house, and new music. Peep a few excerpts:
On how this show will be different from “Braxton Family Values”:
“Well, you know, everyone sees me as Tamar the loud mouth outspoken sister. Now you get to see me as Tamar, Vincent’s wife. I do have a different personality when I’m in the wife role. I think that’s important, you need that balance… I think that there are a lot of people who are just not married! And while it’s okay NOT to be married, it’s also okay TO be married! I just want to show that side. It’s great to have that foundation, but it’s also okay to be yourself too, and have fun with your life. You really can have it all and you don’t have to settle.”
On if the new $6.9million mansion they bought was a gift from the show:
“I just want to say something about that. I just can’t believe that got out. It’s not like we just bought the house. We’ve had it for at least four months now!… Oh please! People can have a seat! Let me tell you, Vince is not even the kind of guy that would let anybody do anything like that. Number one, he’s a real man and number three (Ed note: Yes she jumped from one to three!) he’s not an opportunist like that. He bought the house because he loved the house… We actually got this house to be away from the city and have a sense of being home. But Vince did build me a beauty room! And I’m so excited about it! I can get my hair done, and get dressed for award shows! I can’t wait until it’s finished.”
On if she will be having babies:
“Well … in the future maybe! We’ve only been married three years. We have time! We’ll get it out there!”
On her new music:
“I definitely don’t think you’ve heard this from me before. At first I wasn’t allowed to sing what I wanted to sing and I think that’s where the frustration came from before. It’s opinionated, it’s funky, it’s fresh. This is the true definition of Tamar… [The CD is] definitely coming out next year.”
We’ve asked once and we’ll ask again….is this TOO much Tamar or will you be tuned in?
