“Queen of Soul” Is Officially Off the Market : Aretha Franklin Gets Engaged

First John Legend, then Lebron James and now the Queen of Soul. 69-year-old Aretha Franklin, is reportedly engaged to her boyfriend William “Willie” Wilkerson. She and Willie (I like his name), got engaged over the holidays. She joked with the Associated Press,

“No, I’m not pregnant.”

This will be Aretha’s third marriage. Her first marriage was to Ted White in 1961 (that marriage ended in 1969), while her second marriage, in 1978, to actor Flynn Turman, ended in 1984. According to her statement, Aretha and her fiance plan to wed this summer.
