Tamar Braxton Talks New Spin-Off + Argues About Chrissy Lampkin’s Mole
Recently, we shared that 34-year-old Tamar Braxton and her 42 year old husband, Vincent Herbert, would be getting their own spin-off show, titled “Tamar and Vince.” Tamar had confirmed that they would begin filming in March and the show would begin airing later this year. She explained,
“Well, you know, everyone sees me as Tamar the loud mouth outspoken sister. Now you get to see me as Tamar, Vincent’s wife. I do have a different personality when I’m in the wife role. I think that’s important, you need that balance… I think that there are a lot of people who are just not married! And while it’s okay NOT to be married, it’s also okay TO be married! I just want to show that side. It’s great to have that foundation, but it’s also okay to be yourself too, and have fun with your life. You really can have it all and you don’t have to settle.”
But in a recent interview with Essence Magazine, Tamar gave a few more details about the show. Peep some quotes:
On if she was surprised when they asked her to do the spin-of:
“Yeah, I actually was. I always thought of myself as part of the “Braxton Family Values” show, which is about sisterhood and
womanhood. The network approached Vince and I. We thought about it, prayed about it, and we decided to do it.”
On what we can expect from the show:
“You’ll get to see that Tamar has a brain, and I’m a businesswoman. There are a lot of business ventures that I’m working on right now that I’m really excited about.”
On why she was chosen for a spin-off:
“It was the fans of “Braxton Family Values” who demanded it. I kept hearing people say, ‘You should have your own show.’ They wanted to know what was behind the dot com’s and where I get all this energy from. I just thought it would be a great for them to see that there is another side… I’m still animated, but in a different kind of way.”
We’re glad Tamar is gaining more popularity, but it seems like that might be leading to some extra drama. We found a small twitter beef on Tamar’s page, about Chrissy Lampkin from VH1’s “Love and Hip Hop”. After Tamar retweeted a joke about Chrissy’s mole, a fan got upset and decided to let Chrissy know. Check out the tweets below.
The only thing Chrissy has tweeted since that drama took place is
We’re glad Chrissy didn’t let something so small get to her. We’ve had enough of the celebrity twitter beefs already, don’t you agree?
