PETA Takes Flour Bomber Side, Khloe Kardashian Gives PETA ‘Middle Finger’

Last week at a red carpet event in L.A, Kim Kardashian was assaulted with cooking flour by “superstar activist,” Christina Cho. Cho allegedly called Kim a “fur hag,” before throwing flour all over her hair and clothes. Initially, Kim Kardashian took it like a champ by just laughing off the stunt, but this past weekend Kim spoke with E! News stating,
“I said earlier, no, I wasn’t going to file a complaint. I am just going to think about it, because I don’t want someone to think they can really get away with that. So we are going to handle that.”
Although PETA has denied it’s involvement with the flour bombing, the organization is willing to support the activist if Kim Kardashian decides to take matters further by pressing charges. PETA released a statement to CNN saying,
“We don’t believe Kim would be so shortsighted as to go after this woman, but if she does, we’ll definitely look at how to maximize exposure to the cruel fur industry, and that could mean defending the activist if she wishes.”
In response to this comment, Kim’s sister, Khloe Kardashian Odom, addressed, via her blog and twitter, that she has quit working with the organization due to their link to flour bomber Christina Cho. For many years Khloe has been a supporter of PETA, and even posed nude for a PSA. But she is choosing family over business and says that she is,
“absolutely disgusted by their behavior.”
Christina Cho is the sister of Michelle Cho, Los-Angeles based PETA Official, who helped organize Khloe’s PETA PSA and even appeared on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. After insiders explained that PETA had nothing to do with the flour incident, Khloe Kardashian was informed otherwise. Khloe blogged,
“I just received word that the woman responsible has very close ties to PETA, despite PETA publicly stating otherwise… Not only has PETA lied to the public, but they have proved that they support this kind of behavior. I’ve been a vocal supporter of PETA for a long time but I have also been vocal about anti-bullying, so this was a huge disappointment for me. As you all know, I don’t condone violence and bullying and what happened last Thursday was just that.”
Although Khloe is not working with the organization anymore she will still remain anti-fur. What are your thoughts? Should PETA be blamed for supporting an activist in what they believe in? Or is this bullying?
