Pink-Slip-Problems :: Were Royce, Jennifer Williams & Kesha Fired from Basketball Wives?
Last week, after the reunion show had already been filmed, Shaunie O’Neal confirmed that if she was to return for another season, three of the current cast members would need to be removed from the show. In an interview with The Insider, she explained:
“Three [from Miami]…Immediately. No questions asked. Not anything personal, just not where I’m trying to go. Not on the same page. … If I would like this franchise to keep going, yeah, three would have to go.”
While she never referenced who the three would be, rumor has it that cast members have already been released and not invited for another season. Allegedly, Royce Reed, who has been on the show since the first season, has been released. Reportedly, her contract was not released because she’s not allowed to discuss her son’s father, NBA baller Dwight Howard. Royce was also not allowed to film with Shaunie and Evelyn. Sources also tell TMZ that Jennifr Williams has also been released, mainly because of the lawsuit against Evelyn’s assistant, Nia Crooks. Lastly, we hear that Kesha’s contract MAY not be renewed because she was “boring”. No official confirmation or comment from Kesha, Royce or Jennifer’s camp has been shared. A VH1 rep shares,
“We don’t comment on casting until everything is final. Thanks for checking in.”

I knew those would be the three Shaunie would release. She believes Tami and Evelyn were right in their actions and never repremanded them. She always blamed the victims. Keisha was boring because she didnt fight, Royce gave them a run for their money and gave it to ’em (and fell in love every season) and Jennifer wouldnt drop the lawsuit even after Evelyn made up with her. That’s what that make up session was about. Glad Jennifer didnt fall for it. Im done with bbw!

my sentiments exactly!..Shaunie is a fraud ..she never tried to prevent anything while taping the show..she’s a producer so it was ratings…it wasn’t until the industry started to say she was messy& threaten her lively hood in terms of producing that she tried to get buck on reunion show! This show has always taken up for ignorance …even down to Shaunie saying Jennifer should compare words of anger to a smack in the face and let it go!…SMDH should change name to Basketball H%#s anyway because none of them exude class! (well Jennifer tried )
This firing proves that at the end of the day that it’s really about money and who will get the ratings for Vh-1. It’s unfortunate that the wrong ones were fired and the bullies were were not. Let’s see Jennifer was fired because she had backbone and filed a lawsuit. Royce had a brain and stayed out of the drama this season (except her boyfriend and dad) and put the focus on her working towards her career and last but not least Keisha had the audacity to act like lady and not act foolish for ratings.

Royce, Suzie, & Kesha (who should have never joined the cast b/c she’s clearly not built for the drama) should be the 3 cast members released immediately!

I usually don’t comment on this stuff, but Shaunie is dead wrong, why is she has no positive women on her show anymore, I don’t care if they are not like this in their real lives, they chose to show us what they wanted us to see, and now that the media is going at them the now want to clean it up. Shaunie says that you will have drama when you put women together, no always but if they r what you want let;s hope it is a good choice, cause i won’t be watching….

If the rumors are true, the direction of the show is not going to work for me…being a woman of color in corporate America – it sends a huge message that all women of color behave the way the women on BBW are portrayed. Shaunie is sheisty and again if she doesn’t fire Tami and Evelyn she has no intention of changing the direction of the show.
Problem is most women would watch & then talk about it the next day with their friends, sisters, co workers ect. When we all agree to stop watching then there is nothing to talk about, hence more will stop watching. This last season was just sad. It made me ashamed that I may deemed guilty of their faults as my race may associate me with their childish and whorish behaviors. I am so proud of Jennifer! The rest of um can keep right on blowing guys they met on twitter, collecting food stamps, hopefully get their teeth fixed, and chase around their five kids since the daddy would rather screw someone other than their fake ass momma…lololol… Please stop watching this ladies.
If Shaunie did fire those three she is absolutely without morals. I didn’t agree with her trying to get Jen to drop the charges and she kept saying lawsuits and blogging is going to far. Ummm no Shaunie go back and do another fake scene with your pastor. It went to far when you let your cast result in physical violence. What type of woman or mother would tell someone it’s ok to be hit and if you are it’s wrong to go to the authorites. I have never heard anything soooooo dumb.
