[Video & Photos] Serena Williams Makes History, Wins U.S. Open
Congratulations to Serena Williams. She’s had a helluva summer! On Sunday, she won the U.S. Open trophy (in addition to the gold medals she won at the Olympics and won the Wimbledon) and if you watched the Sunday game, then you know her opponent Victoria Azarenka, came close to taking the title. Ultimately, Serena took the last four games of the match, winning her fourth title at Flushing Meadows and 15th Grand Slam title overall with a 2-6, 6-2, 7-5 victory. Serena is now the first women’s U.S. Open final to go three sets since 1995.
