Rapper Trina Hints At Doing Reality TV + Talks Penis & “Tossed Salads”

Rapper Trina hit the Breakfast Club to discuss her upcoming album, which she says will come out in the early part of next year. While there, she also talked about relationships, Rick Ross and sex. Peep a few excerpts:

On her new album and Rick Ross’ involvement with it:

“I’m working on my sixth album, I’m really excited about it. I can’t really say [who I’m signed to now]… Rick Ross is like a part of my family. I’ve been around Ross my entire career. He’s always there when I’m in the process of doing an album. On this particular album he has a lot more say-so and a lot more structure. I’m excited about it. It’s great for him to be able to come in the studio and work with me, and understand where I’m at and what I wanna do, and just to be there and give me ideas on different types of records.”

On what keeps her relevant:

“I work a lot. It’s not even so much about the albums, because I’m always performing, even without an album. And I think just going to different cities and being all over the world, and steady being in people’s faces, and performing, I think that keeps them coming back for more. Because I’ve been performing without an album and it’s just like it doesn’t matter.”

On her new artist:

“Nisha Rockstar is my artist. She’s like a firecracker. She’s out of Miami, she’s up and coming, she’s new, and I’m just excited to be working with her. It’s good to see, when I’m in the studio with her, how she works. She reminds me of when I first started, how I was working. And just to see her go through the different phases, how she comes up with the record, and puts it together, it’s really fun. She’s real hungry. She has that attitude, that persistency. She’s always in the studio, she’s always grinding, always trying to find the hottest record out there to freestyle. That’s the hunger that keeps me motivated, to want to constantly get in the studio to work with her and actually put her out and break her.”

On if she’ll be in the Love & Hip Hop Miami show that is rumored to be in the works:

“I’ve talked about it. I’m not sure yet. I just need to make sure that’s something I would actually want to do. There’s not gonna be any fighting and throwing drinks in Trina’s face.”

On her relationship status and why LaLa was trying to set her up on a blind date (when she appeared in an episode of “LaLa’s Full Court Life”):

“I’m actually single. I don’t have a man. [When I appeared on LaLa’s show] she was trying to show that I was in a relationship, then the relationship was over. Of course after it was over there’s love, but you’re trying to move on from the situation. In that episode, that’s what it was. I wasn’t dating anybody after we broke up. (She’s speaking about her past relationship with basketball player Kenyon Martin). It’s been almost a year. I was just gradually trying to get out of it. And to send me on a date with a random guy… I don’t really date. I never really went on a date like go to the movies and to dinner, because I’m not really [into that]. I just need the relationship. I just need to know that it’s mine. You have to show me. I would know if it’s not real. I don’t believe in what you say. I have to feel it, otherwise I will leave you, kick you to the curb, won’t even talk to you.”

At this point, radio host Charlamagne asked her would she still leave if he was putting his tongue in her butt…

“I’ll love your tongue in my butt, but I’ll still leave you if I don’t feel like we’re in a committed relationship. I love the tongue, but I’ll still have to leave you.”

On if she thinks a man can be in a committed relationship:

“I believe a man can be in a committed relationship, but they’re definitely going to slide out and do other stuff, it’s just natural. I’m not monitoring your life. If I find out, of course I’m pissed, I don’t like cheaters. But I just know, as a woman, the reality of it. Men are going to do their thing. As long as you don’t know and it’s not in front of you then you can’t do anything about it.”

On if she cheats while she’s in relationships:

“If I’m in a relationship, I like to stay with the one person I’m with. It’s easy because if I’m happy there’s nothing else to look [for] outside. If I’m not happy in a situation then I’m just out. Men cheat because they can, and it’s there. Women cheat if the situation aint right, but, me, I just say I’m stepping out.”

On how important penis size is:

“It’s really important, I’m just being real. If you’re a man, there’s nothing you can do about it if you’re size is just small, that’s just what you’re born with. But size, to a woman, it matters. And if they tell you it doesn’t, I think they’re telling a lie. Because you need to have a good size; something that’s going to bang your back out and make you feel good. Otherwise you’re going to be looking for something else. Anywhere around like 9 to 11 is good. I’m just saying you need something exciting to make you stay. It’s all good if you take care of me, you buy me things, you’re a sweet guy, breakfast in bed. All that is good, but if the size ain’t right it’s like a waste.” (Trina later also said that any man who’s penis is 6 inches or smaller, will not have a faithful woman. Ouch?!)

On the Nicki Minaj vs. Lil Kim beef:

“People are entitled to do whatever they do. This is Hip Hop. There’s always gonna be beefs, there’s always gonna be battles. I feel like the fans would rather see a collaboration than a diss. The fans want to see a solid, strong record. Beef is part of Hip Hop but it only lasts for so long. It comes at you all the time, randomly. Me, I just keep it moving.”

And finally, what we can expect from her new album:

“For this album it’s just about a different sound for me. I’ve been trying a lot of different sounds. I’ve been working with a lot of different producers to come up with something new and fresh but still sexy. You just have to hear it, I think you guys are going to love it. I think this is going to be one of my best albums.”
