She’s a force to be reckoned with. As one of the break-out stars of Orange Is the New Black (playing the resident hair stylist), her light seems to shine more and more these days. After making history as the first transgender on the cover of TIME and nominated for an upcoming Critics Choice Award, Laverne Cox visited the Wendy Williams Show, for a short ‘How You Doin’ session. On not discussing her cosmetic surgery:
I’ve chosen not to talk about any of the stuff I’ve gotten done because I think so often when transpeople’s experiences are talked about, they always far too often focus on surgery and transition so I don’t talk about that but I’m very happy with the situation.
