EXCLUSIVE: Erica Mena Joins ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’
EXCLUSIVE: Erica Mena Joins Love & Hip Hop Atlanta
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports Erica Mena is returning to the Love & Hip Hop franchise. Sources tell us that she’s been cast on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.
She said she would never return to the show, but she’s back. They even threw her a party in Atlanta – on camera of course – to celebrate her official return to the show and welcome her to the A.
We hear that logistically, it didn’t make sense for her to return to New York and since she’s always in Atlanta, her storyline and relationships were a better fit.
After being on the show for 4 seasons, Erica quit Love & Hip Hop (NY) in 2015, explaining that she was ready to officially close that chapter of her life.
At the time, she was engaged to rapper Bow Wow, who also stars on WE TV’s ‘Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta’. It was rumored that Bow Wow was influential in Mena leaving the franchise.
He thought it was ghetto and beneath her. It just wasn’t a good look, as far as he was concerned.
Prior to her leaving, Mena stated publicly that VH1 had initially offered her a wedding special, to document her wedding ceremony to Bow Wow.
However, Love & Hip Hop NY’s Yandy Smith received a wedding special instead. Erica and Bow Wow later split, calling off their engagement.
No additional details about her storyline have been revealed.
