F*ck You, Pay Me :: Rocawear Continues to Push “Occupy” Shirts On Web Site

Friday, Jay-Z launched an Occupy Wall Street T-shirt line, called “Occupy All Streets” on Rocawear’s web site. The shirt, which he initially rocked during his recent NYC concert, is what sparked enough interest for the Rocawear clothing label to create the t-shirt line. But after it became public knowledge that the profits weren’t helping the Occupy Wall Street movement, a few critics voiced their displeasure. Over the weekend, Rocawear pulled the shirts down, but must have changed their business minds because the shirts have returned and are selling for $22.00. The description of the shirts read:
Drawing inspiration from the “Watch The Throne” Concert Tour, this short sleeve tee features a ribbed crew neckline and a graphic text print saying “Occupy All Streets” at front. A Rocawear logo sits at top back.
Meanwhile, some entertaining Facebook comments remain on Rocawear’s web site, arguing for and against Rocawear continuing the sell the t-shirt line. So, what do YOU think? Should Rocawear be obligated to contribute part of its proceeds to the cause?
