Laser Tag Gets Gangsta, Dude Calls Justin Bieber a “F*ggot”

Written by thejasminebrand in Blog

To summarize Bieber got into a semi-confrontation with a 12-year old boy at a laser-tag game in Canada. Dude called Bieber a f*ggot, put his hand up in Beiber’s face, and Beiber pushed his hand out of his face. (Yeah, I know.)

Long story short, Bieber’s taken this opportunity to bring bullying and homophobia to the forefront by supporting a anti-bullying campaign. Details about this campaign are supposed to be released next week. In other non-sarcastic news, I can’t wait for Bieber nail polish. Thee end.

Mugshot of Phaedra’s (RHOA) Husband?

Written by thejasminebrand in Blog

This doesn’t look like a mug shot to me. Hell, it could be a work ID (perhaps the remix), but folks are saying that this is a mug shot of Phaedra’s husband, Apollo.

Kanye’s Controversial Album Cover, Banned in the USA

Written by thejasminebrand in Blog

According to Kanye West, the cover for his upcoming album, ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’, has already been banned from being released in the U.S.

He tweeted, “Yoooo they banned my album cover!!!!! Ima tweet it in a few…Banned in the USA!!! They don’t want me chilling on the couch with my phoenix! In the 70s album covers had actual nudity… It’s so funny that people forget that… Everything has been so commercialized now. In all honesty … I really don’t be thinking about Wal-Mart when I make my music or album covers #Kanyeshrug! I wanna sell albums but not at the expense of my true creativity.”

Sade Turned Down Jay-Z, “I’m too scared.”

Written by thejasminebrand in Blog

The LA Times did a pretty decent article on Sade, who’s real name is Helen Folasade Adu, where she discusses the end to her vegetarian period, race, and the secret of how her band has stayed together so long. At the very end of the piece, she makes a comment about folks wanting to collaborate musically with her.

She explains,“When it comes to sample clearances, I’m probably the cheapest chick in the west.” The article goes on to say that she has, however, turned down many prominent MCs, including Jay –Z, who have wanted to rhyme over her beats or do “collabos” with her singing a hook on a hip-hop track.

“I’m too scared. They’ll find me out. It’s like ‘The Wizard of Oz.’ They’ll find out there’s nothing there. As for collaborations, I’m collaborating with the band and do what we do. I see myself as a member of this band who does these songs that we write.”?
