Recap:::Basketball Wives Season 2, Episode 1. Let the drama begin!

The premier of Season 2 of VH1’s Basketball Wives premiered Sunday evening. Check the full episode here, but this season looks like it is going to be full of drama (Shaunie O’Neal warns us what we can expect), theatrics and tears.

Peep observations below.

• AL, CAN WE GET ANY MESSIER? First and foremost, Al Reynolds (Star Jones’ ex husband) is a shit starter and a trouble-maker. When meeting Jennifer and Evelyn for drinks, Al purposely mentions that he “heard about” their Vegas trip from Suzie. Apparently, Jennifer, Evelyn and Suzie took a Vegas trip that was suppose to stay private. One doesn’t know what actually happened, but whatever it was (we think ‘coloring’ may’ve been involved), none of them wanted it to get back to Miami. However, Suzie told Al about their trip, and messy Al told Evelyn, Evelyn gets mad (actually starts crying) confronts Suzie, Suzie says sorry, Evelyn doesn’t accept the apology and informs Suzie that she is “no longer in the circle.” Evelyn, I like you, but shut up.  Obviously tension will continue throughout the season.

• This season the newest cast member, Tami Morgan (the ex-wife of Kenny Anderson) was introduced. I think she’s my favorite because similar to Royce, she’s the least scripted and polished. However, we HATE her weave. Like HATE it. It’s terrible for television. It’s terrible for radio. It’s terrible for life. As Evelyn said, “I’m not feeling her weave…her nails.” More important than her weave is Tami re-introducing her two daughters (Lyric, 16 and Jazz, 14) to their father. Apparently, her daughters had not seen their father for years and during this episode, they are reunited.

• Jennifer’s sob story continues. This season, Jennifer is still dragging us through this whole, I don’t know if I wanna stay married to my husband (former NBA baller, Eric Williams) shit. Well, Jennifer, we’re over talking about this. You and your husband are a yawn-fest. Enough screen time for these two!

• What can we expect this season? From the looks of the teaser that they showed at the end of the episode, it looks as if we can expect a 30 second fight between Tami and Evelyn, a near fight between Tami and Jennifer, Suzie becoming BFF’s with Gloria Govan, the appearance of Evelyn’s fiance Chad Ochocinco and lots of partying.
