Berry Gordy Developing $100 Million Broadway Musical
81-year-old Berry Gordy Jr. has plans to develop a Broadway musical based off of his life. Gordy, who is a legendary producer and founder of Motown records, has been working with industry heads in the hopes of setting the record straight on his life story. According to Page Six, the musical has a $100 million budget and will take place during the civil rights movement, an important time for Motown. Gordy is trying to involve Smokey Robinson and Diana Ross. No further details about the musical have been shared. Source
