President Obama’s Piss Poor Fundraiser

Yikes. President Obama’s recent fundraiser fell short…in a visual way. Obama held a fundraiser Monday in Miami (I hear traffic was HELLA backed-up because he was in town) that was a bit disappointing. The fundraiser was held at the Arsht Center for Performing Arts, a concert hall that holds 2,200 seats. From what reports are saying, it was damn-near empty. Like sorta embarrassingly empty. Tickets were $44 and 980 tickets were sold. A Democratic official told Politico that “The expectation was 900.” I guess from their perspective, all is well–even though the venue sat 2,200 people. I’m no political analyst, but who likes coming to an empty party? And is this any indication of the challenges that he will face in the upcoming election? Peep the full story here.
