Boxing legend Ronald “Butch” Lewis passed away at 65 of heart failure. Lewis was best known for his friendship with Muhammed Ali and Joe Fraiser, as well as for his promotional work with Leon and Michael Spinks. His promotional work with high-profile boxers like Leon Spinks helped further fighting careers, including a fight that coined Leon “The Greatest” in Las Vegas. During his career, Lewis famously scored Michael Spinks $13.5 million dollars for a match with Mike Tyson. However, Tyson knocked out Spinks in round one.
