High School Students Celebrated “Wednesday Wigger Day” By “Acting Black”

Yep, you read correct. At Red Wing High School, in Minnesota, there was an actual day during homecoming week called, “Wednesday Wigger Day.” On this day, white students pretended to be black (I’d be interested in seeing what acting black looks like). One black student named Quera Pruitt, didn’t find anything amusing about Wigger Day and filed a lawsuit last week, implying that the day depressed her and almost caused her to drop out of school. Her lawyer (Joshua Williams) said, “It’s offensive to black folks and, frankly, it’s offensive to anyone.” Peep the full story here.

I can’t believe this is real! I graduated from a predominantly white high school and id I EVER would have experienced something like this I’d do the same thing. Utterly ridiculous!
