Thursday night, the opening of “The Mountaintop” Broadway play took place at The Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre. The play’s story-line is placed on April 3, 1968 and recreates the events of the night before the assassination of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Starring Samuel L. Jackson and Angela Bassett, the play is directed by the Tony-nominated Kenny Leon Fences.
