Where’s-the-Love :: Kim Kardashian “Haters” Push Petition to End Her Career

Since Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris Humphries, critics have been raving about how all of her recent actions have just been publicity stunts. Now, a bunch of Kim Kardashian critics have grouped together and begun a petition to have her career ended. Interesting concept, right? The group of non-Kim-fans are calling for all reality TV shows involving Kim to be pulled off of E! They also want her to be taken off of ads for nail polish, perfume, and clothing. And they want her out of the new Tyler Perry movie, “Marriage Counselor.” Many of her critics have left controversial comments on “Tyler Perry’s “Talk To Me“ website page, explaining how they refuse to support Tyler Perry any longer if Kim Kardashian is included in his upcoming film. Some of the critics have even set up Facebook pages expressing their disdain for her. One is titled “Boycott the Kardashians” and has 20,000 likes.
The petition organizer, Cyndy Snider, said,
“In a grass roots effort, we have collected [thousands of] signatures for a petition asking E! Entertainment to remove the Kardashian suite of shows from their programming. We feel that these shows are mostly staged and place an emphasis on vanity, greed, promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top conspicuous consumption. While some may have begun watching the spectacle as mindless entertainment or as a sort of ‘reality satire,’ it is a sad truth that many young people are looking up to this family and are modeling their appearance and behavior after them. I’ll remind you here that the Kardashian family fame largely started with a ‘leaked’ sex tape. There is no particular religious or political platform behind our disgust; we are just finally fed up.”
Major Ouch! The petition is now available on GoPetition.com. It seems that people are definitely fed up with Kim K. Are critics going TOO far or are you TOO over Kim Kardashian’s alleged antics? P.S. Does signing this petition make you a hater?
