Were Blue Cantrell’s Tweets About “Blue Ivy” Innocent? :: “I like her name”
Some of you may remember, that a while ago (a pretty long time ago) Jay-Z used to date a singer by the name of Blue Cantrell. And after news hit that his new baby was named Blue Ivy, a few folks had some interesting things to say. And today, people are up in arms about Blue Cantrell’s recent congratulatory tweet. She tweeted:
“Of course I want to say congratulations to Jay-Z & Beyonce on having a healthy, & happy baby girl!! I love her name :-).”
And after catching some Twitter heat, she tweeted:
“I think it’s sad that people can’t just welcome a precious baby w out trying to put something negative in it.”

The tweet was innocent. People are getting ridiculous about this baby. All that matters is that Blue Ivy is here and healthy.. DAMN Can they Live… Not to mention JayZ has had several BLUEprint successful albums…
Ummm…did Beyonce live under a rock and didn’t know about Jay and Blue dating??! It was PUBLIC information, RIGHT?! Clearly she’s fine with the name. Everytime someone says something stupid it validates why she stays so private. Folks try to turn everything into a show. *In my Jay-Z voice* Get Outta Heeere!!

Doesn’t she spell her name “Blu Cantrell” without an “e.” I brought her album, she spells it “Blu.”
Either way, I think she would have been better of just saying “congratulations.” That’s just me.
Plus Blu Cantrell’s real name isn’t even Blu, it’s Tiffany. So I doubt she was trying to be funny. It is possible and it does make sense that she would try to throw a little, tiny shade. Lol
