Was M.I.A.’s “F*ck You” During Half Time, That Big Of A Deal?

During Sunday night’s half-time Super Bowl performance, and while performing “Give Me All Your Luvin’” with Madonna and Nicki Minaj, M.I.A. (real name Mathangi “Maya” Arulpragasam) flipped viewers ‘the bird’. And while I totally missed the “F*ck You Gesture”, many people didn’t. NBC’s spokesman, Christopher McCloseky responded,

“The NFL hired the talent and produced the halftime show…Our system was late to obscure the inappropriate gesture and we apologize to our viewers.”

A simple question, since this was such a highly televised game, did you find M.I.A.’s middle finger offensive? (P.S. It couldn’t have been worse than Janet Jackson’s pierced nipple, right?) And if you missed it, peep the full performance here.
