[VIDEO] A Healthier Maia Campbell Talks Being Sober, New Music & Hopes for Working With Tyler Perry

35-year-old actress (turned singer), Maia Campbell has certainly had her fair share of not-so-positive media attention. In addition to losing her mother (Bebe Moore Campbell), videos exposing Maia’s battle with substance abuse circulated a few years ago worrying family and friends. Fast forward to the present day and we’ve got our fingers crossed that she can bounce back. In this video (shot in a mall, which kinda threw me off, but whatev), she talks about being sober for almost two years, how she wants to work with Halle Berry and Tyler Perry, celebs that have reached out to her and her music career. I agree with Dubb-B…she still sounds like shes not totally sober. My prayers are with her.
She really needs to concentrate on her emotional well-being. She sound like she still in the streets and tried to put on a little make-up to try and cover it up. I hope that she can get it together. Nobody perfect, this I know. We all can place improvement in our lives. Keep praying, it’s powerful.
