Wiz Khalifa Drops New Music + Explains Why He Thinks Kanye Still Raps About Amber

On an exclusive call with Atlantic DJs, hosted by Fatman Scoop, Wiz Khalifa (real name Cameron Jibril Thomaz) dropped his latest single, “Work Hard Play Hard”. In addition to discussing his latest single, Wiz also talked about his fiance (Amber Rose), the industry and his weed habit. Peep a few excerpts:

On how he met Amber:

“We met on the internet…we went on a day date and that was it. I fell in love…she’s a really normal person…she’s like a homie. we’re best friends. we take care of each other.”

On when he knew Amber was ‘the one’:

“When i 1st met her after a week, I was like, Imma marry her…We’re crazy together”

On if he had any apprehension about dating Amber, because of Kanye:

“You know anybody’s previous situation doesn’t affect who they are..What we have, nobody can break that…”

On if he gets mad that Kanye West still raps about Amber:

“U know why? Bc she’s dope. She tight. I would probably be rapping about her if she left me 2.”

On if he’s ever sober:

“No. You can’t tell nobody advice if you don’t smoke. I don’t do anything sober. I wake up. The first that I do is get high. It’s not possible for me to do anything sober…”

On what keeps him motivated:

“I never ever wanted 2 give up. Great people & new people that prove the stigma’s wrong that every1’s not cut throat.”

On if he will ever perform with a hologram:

“My shows will consist of the living only…”

On his relationship with Juicy J:

“That’s my man. He did me a big favor by being in my career…b4 I thought about becoming a real rapper.”
