Boycott to Stop Evelyn Lozada from Bullying Started + Star Jones Speaks Out on Reality TV
Star Jones is not a fan of reality TV, where women, specifically women of color, are portrayed in a negative light by cursing, fight and conflict. Thursday morning, during Star’s regular “Professionals” segment on the Today Show, she explained why she’s not a fan of said shows. Watch the clip below (starts at the 2:56 mark):

A petition to stop a popular reality star, Evelyn Lozada of Basketball Wives, has been started. Titled: Boycott Evelyn Lozada: Don’t support Evelyn Lozada’s spinoff show “EV And OCHO” on VH1, the petition has almost 6k signatures. What do you think about the petition to stop Evelyn’s spin-off? I think the reality show Evelyn Lozada should not start because she is a Bully and no one should submitted to that kind of behavior or treatment from no one.Its like she”s trying to force people to live by her standards.

I realize this is tv, but, if this is her reality, she needs a reality check! Shaunie and Tami are the worst friends ever! Who allows their friend to behave this horribly? We need to be clear about this boycotting thing as well. The show is still going to air as long as peoople watch it. When you switch channels, it registers and adds to the ratings of the show. When we stop tuning in every week, the shows wont air.

Uh, sorry, Puerto Rican is a minority! Evelyn is a woman of color. She may not be African American, but she is a woman of color. And really, that doesn’t matter! Women should be respectful. The fact that her contempt towards Jenn is so venomous says something about her character. She is not without flaws and yet she is so quick to judge others! Jenn seems like the biggest airhead but seriously, she’s rebuilding her life and having to rediscover who she is without her husband. That Nia chick works for the woman that claims to hate her guts! Allowing this women to promote violence is totally a disturbing bad message sent to young adolescent women. Who may feel after watching this show that it is okay to attack other human beings. Not only do we need to boycott her spin-off, we need to boycott basketball wives who has allow this GETTO behavior to continue. This women is a bully, she CRAZY has anger management issues and needs serious, serious help. This is not reality in the real world…Have we come to a point where we have lower our standers as a women to get 15 minutes of fame.
