Megachurch Pastor Creflo Dollar Arrested for Allegedly Chocking Teenage Daughter

Early Friday morning, 50-year-old megachurch pastor, Creflo Dollar, was arrested in his Atlanta home. According to authorities, he slightly hurt his 15-year-old daughter. Associated Press reports that deputies responded to a call of domestic violence at the home around 1 a.m. The pastor and his daughter were arguing over whether she could go to a party when Dollar “got physical” with her, leaving her with

“superficial injuries.”

Fox reports that he:

“intentionally caused physical harm to his teenage daughter by grabbing her around the neck and choking her…”

He now faces misdemeanor charges of simple battery and cruelty to children. He was released Friday morning. No official statement has been released from the church, but a message was sent out via his twitter, Friday morning:

Once you believe that you are righteous, you will begin do what is righteous. –Creflo Dollar #CaseDismissed

Well she shouldn’t have been tryna leave. She should have sat her 15 year old butt down. I don’t blame him. Kids lack respect these days and he’s not having it! Go ‘head Creflo lol

Spare the rod, spoil the child. I support Pastor Dollar. Too long, have youth been able to behave irrationally because parents fear disciplining them.

    Disclaimer: No harm.

    1. For anyone to support chocking their child, is insanity. Absolutely run your household. Absolutely not chock your child in the name of Jesus.

    2. @Creflo – “Once you believe you are righteous, you will begin to do what is righteous. #CaseDismissed” WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!

    3. Why is it every time someone gets arrested people pull out their bibles and start shaming the devil? Leave the devil alone – that’s you boo boo.

    4. May the church say Amen?

    @ Netta B: ROLMAF!!!!!
Seriously, there appears to be several factors missing…speaking as a mother of a teen I completely understand that kind of frustration. I just wonder where was Taffy (the mom) to diffuse Pastor D? and how is it that this child felt comfortable enough to call the police on her parent? I gather that this child did not lack and my sources say she was a bit spoiled anyway. Possibly Pastor D was not aware that his “little” girl has always attended these parties, he just found out about it and it wasn’t going to happen on his watch.
