Mariah Carey & Nicki Minaj Are Not Beefing Over ‘American Idol’

This week, rumors began swirling that Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj had already begun beefing on the set of “American Idol.” This came two days after the judges for 2013 were confirmed. The judges for the upcoming season will be Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban, and Randy Jackson. According to TMZ, a source informed them that the two were “already at each other’s throats.” Later in the day, those rumors were put to rest when the judges held a press conference in NYC. Carey flat out denied any beef, joking:
“A feud takes a little longer to happen.”
Nicki also vouched that the judges are:
“Getting along wonderfully, darling.”
Although Mariah Carey admitted that there was no tension between her and Nicki Minaj, she did admit that she was never a fan of singing competition shows like “American Idol”, explaining:
“I’ll be completely honest. But I realize what this show has done for such talented artists and truly giving them careers.”
