[Video] Spike Lee Calls ‘Django’ Movie Disrespectful to His Ancestors

 

Vocal film-maker, Spike Lee, has gone on record explaining why he is refusing to see Quentin Tarantino’s latest film, ‘Django Unchained’. During a recent interview with Vibe, the 55-year-old Atlanta native said:

I’m not gonna see it. I’m not seeing it. It would be disrespectful to my ancestors, to see that film. I can’t disrespect my ancestors…I can’t do it. I’m not speaking on behalf of anybody, but myself.
