Daddy’s little girl had a grand time this week, while she celebrated her birthday in Sin City. Floyd Mayweather’s daughter, Iyanna, celebrated her 13th birthday over the weekend. And in true flashy status, the teenager celebrated with some of her father’s celebrity friends like Kevin Hart, who is her favorite actor and Justin Bieber, her favorite singer. Lil Kim, one of Iyanna’s favorite rapper and close friend to Floyd, was also present. In addition to a fancy cake, Iyanna has received a $250,000 diamond watch from her father. When your pops is a world champion boxer and one of Forbes‘ highest-paid athletes, could we expect anything less?

Cute little girl – she looks just like her Daddy, however, I don’t agree that just because her father is who he is, that a 13 year old “kid” should get a $250k diamond watch! That is ridiculous. She probably can’t even appreciate the value in that watch and would rather have something totally different that a 13 y/o would want …*shrugs* I bet her Mom will enjoy it though! Anyway……..his kid! Teaching her the wrong values…he should put that money into an account or something for her future, Daddy won’t be a champion forever. That’s crazy!
How do we know he isn’t teaching her those things and putting money away in addition to giving her lavish gifts. I have never been one to critique how people spend their money. I don’t want anybody counting my pennies and lecturing me on the Jordan’s that I bought my 16 year old, which is probably harder on my budget than that watch was on his.
Yeah, you’re right – we don’t know. I think you missed the point. I’m not really “critiquing”, it’s just my comment & opinion as is yours. Like I said … his kid, he can do what he wants to do. Nothing wrong with him lavashing her with gifts, its wonderful for a father to do! My point being what else do you buy at 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, etc…? I could see her getting that at 21 or 30. But whatever, that’s me. I respect your opinion too but that’s mine. Its not even about counting his pennies.

This is one of the reasons why I don’t sympathize with celebrities when they go broke. As a responsible adult, why would you spend $250, 000 on a watch for 13 year old girl? At this girl, she is entering womanhood. This is when you teach her how to be an adult, take her on a vacation so that she can learn about other cultures and people. Why do we always lean towards the material things that don’t even appreciate in value? After all, all the things she will learn from going somewhere, no one can take from her. How about teaching her to think of others besides herself, he could have donated that amount to several charities in the honor of his daughter.
That’s like wearing a house on a 13yr’s wrist! And more than likely all for show. Just to say I can do it or look what I got. What do kids even got to look forward to nowadays? They get everything handed to them.
