[Photos] Obama’s Give Daughters African History Lesson: Visit Slave Trade Site & Prison Cells
This week, the Obama family visited Africa. The first family began their three-country tour, stopping in Senegal.
In addition to doing some presidential work, day one of their journey sightseeing and taking in some African history. In addition, the usual parade of local culture and a visit to a school, the President visited Goree Island, known as one of the historic focal points of the African slave trade. It’s such a momentous occasion, that it prompted FLOTUS to join Instagram. Peep some of their pix.
