[Photos] Reality TV Stars Take Over Essence Festival, Literally: Kenya Moore, Shaunie O’Neal & Drea Kelly

Non scripted TV has cornered the television market, not to mention it’s reality TV stars, who seem to be snagging a magazine cover (here and there), hosting gigs and other TV opportunities at a rapid pace.

And if you’re a non-scripted junkie, then you know the reality world is a serious hustle. So much, that a number of popular cast members, from various networks and shows were in full force at this years Essence Festival. Over the weekend, representation from Basketball Wives, Hollywood Exes, The Braxton’s, Real Housewives of Atlanta, R&B Divas and R&B Divas LA sat on the couch to dish on all things reality TV. Titled, ‘Reality TV’, Shaunie O’Neal, Kenya Moore, Drea Kelly, Monifa, Trina Braxton and Chante Moore served fashion and sound bites about what it really takes to be in the reality TV game, what viewers DON’T get to see and the harsh criticism that they receive. Meanwhile, while we were doing some blackberry, iPhone and Galaxy Note III hustling (yes, I have three phones and yes it’s absolutely ridiculous!), we saw some of our favorite reality stars (Karlie Redd and Ariane Davis of Love & Hip Hop, Derek J of ‘Fashion Queens’, Nicole Murphy of ‘Hollywood Exes’, Khadijah Rowe of ‘Big Rich Atlanta’, Kelly Price of ‘R&B Divas of LA’),  partying it up at Essence’s day party, on Bourbon street and a few other spots.
