Chris Brown Reacts To His Probation Being Revoked: ‘My Cross Is Heavy, But God Gives Me Strength…’
Not so good news for singer Chris Brown. On Monday, Los Angeles prosecutors moved to revoke probation for the 24-year-old, who was charged last month with misdemeanor hit-and-run and driving without a valid license. As you know, Chris has been on felony probation in the 2009 beating of former girlfriend Rihanna. He has been in and out of court since then making reports on fulfilling the requirements of his probation. The latest drama with him involved a fender bender, on May 12th. Chris allegedly rear-ended a car in the San Fernando Valley and refused to give the other driver his insurance information. A woman in the car with Chris (his girlfriend Karrueche) provided her driver’s license, according to a police report, but he did not provide his until his lawyer had it delivered to the other driver two days later.
The driver of a Mercedes Benz (Olga G.) involved in the crash told police she was a new to the country and didn’t know procedures. The woman said she called her husband to find out what to do and was told to exchange driver’s licenses and insurance identification. At first, she said Chris was polite. But as she continued to demand identification, a confrontation arose, she said in court documents. She said Karrueche offered her driver’s license and said the car belonged to her. In her written statement, the woman said when he refused to provide his identification, she took a picture of the couple “and then they went ballistic.” She said Chris began shouting expletives and grabbed for her camera. In the statement, she said:
I jumped back, the girl screamed, ‘Don’t touch her. Don’t touch her.” I was so shocked that I was speechless. Just a moment ago he was a nice guy. After screaming some insulting nonsense for a while longer, he slammed a door and drove away fast and noisy.
The woman said that she didn’t know the identity of the man who hit her car until a friend called and told her after seeing a report on the Internet. Reportedly, if the judge determines Chris violated his probation, he could be sentenced to four years in prison. Chris took to twitter, writing:
Pray! I did everything I was suppose to do during the so called hit n run, I provided the correct info. There were no injuries or damages. C’mon!! Love you Team Breezy. I hope people can actually see the truth. My cross is heavy but God gives me the strength to carry it.
