Four Harlem Women Land Reality Show On OWN Network: ‘Crazy.Sexy.Life.’
Non-scripted TV shows like ‘Welcome to Sweetie Pies’ and ‘Raising Whitley’ continue to be a hit with Oprah Winfrey’s network. And now that she’s nailed a formula (diversifying programming and adding shows by Tyler Perry), the 59-year-old media mogul has put her stamp of approval of another show.
‘Crazy. Sexy. Life‘ is a docu-series (which we’ve gathered is a preferred term for folk who don’t like the term ‘reality TV) following the lives of four longtime girlfriends living in Harlem. Cameras will give viewers an inside look at Kiyah, Bershan, Chenoa and Tiffany focusing in on their New York City lives, both personal and professional. Instantly, Sex & the City or shows like ‘Girlfriends’ come to mind, right? OWN president Sheri Salata said in a release:
We feel strongly that Crazy.Sexy.Life. will resonate with our viewers. Set against the backdrop of America’s most vibrant and competitive city, this show details what real life is all about for a quartet of very different personalities who have embraced one another as ‘family’ for more than a decade, and who depend on one another unconditionally.

OWN will preview the show on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 10 p.m. following the fall finale of Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots. The show will return in early 2014. [OWN]
