[WATCH] Floyd Mayweather Says He’s Still Engaged to Shantel Jackson: ‘We’re not focused on marriage right now.’
We stand corrected. Heck, its a tough job keeping up with Floyd Mayweather Jr’s personal life. Especially when he’s the leader of the “Money Team”. Recently, we reported that Floyd had ended his engagement to Shantel Jackson. Unconfirmed rumors suggested they broke-up because she was cheating with a popular Atlanta party promoter.
There was also the pesky rumor Ms. Jackson was only dating him for money and gifts. Reportedly, he had landed another attractive woman by the name of Princess, who began as a Moneyteam female promoter. Princess showed off expensive gifts on Instagram and hinted that they were officially a couple. But looks like we’ve got it wrong.
This week, during an interview with Howard Stern, Floyd updated us about his relationship status. And surprisingly, he’ll be walking down the aisle soon. Peep what he had to say about their relationship below.
Yeah, we still engaged. She’s my better half. Miss Jackson. She’s cool, she’s just my better half. We’re not really focused on marriage right now. I’m going to focus on taking her career to that next level. It’s about me being an asset, helping my better half. We prefer to take our time. Eventually it’s gonna happen but not right cause I’m very, very busy focusing on my career and my contract, I feel like if it’s not broke why try to add on and try to fix it? She’s a beautiful person. She has my back and I have her back.
