Exclusive: White House Correspondent April Ryan Allegedly Targeted In Smear Campaign Over Viral Smithsonian Museum Story, Source Says

There’s reportedly some drama going down in the journalism world!

theJasmineBrand exclusively reports that veteran White House correspondent April Ryan is allegedly the target of a behind-the-scenes smear campaign by a fellow journalist.

A source close to the matter exclusively tells us:

“That viral museum story has a backstory. There are a lot of discussion groups on this story. However, one discussion group in particular keeps talking about discrediting a journalist. It is said that one journalist got upset when she did not follow up on the story before April Ryan got it. Got mad, created a narrative to cause confusion, and even called April Ryan’s boss. As of press time, April Ryan stands by her story from what we are told.”

In case you’re unfamiliar, Vice President JD Vance is at the center of a viral controversy alleging that the Trump administration is influencing changes at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture (aka the ‘Blacksonian’), including rumored plans to remove key civil rights artifacts such as the Greensboro Lunch Counter exhibit.

April Ryan has been reporting on the outrage and confusion surrounding the claims. She recently reported on BlackPressUSA that Smithsonian officials confirmed the historic Greensboro exhibit is not being removed.

Still, some social media groups have reportedly accused Ryan of “spreading misinformation,” but her supporters say she’s just doing her job and being unfairly targeted by a colleague with an agenda.

April Ryan is a highly respected voice in political journalism, especially when it comes to Black America. So this alleged smear campaign is raising serious eyebrows.

What do you think? Is April Ryan being unfairly blamed? Or is this just part of the chaos of covering the Trump administration?
