Nas’ Baby Mama, Carmen Bryan, Hints At Reality TV Plans
If the reports are true, things just got really interesting for reality TV. We’ve been sitting on this one for awhile, but thanks to a nosey girlfriend and some insider prying, we’ve heard CONFIRMED reports that Carmen Bryan is doing reality TV.
If her name is a bit familiar, it’s because she and rapper Nas (real name Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones) have a daughter together, Destiny. Back in 2001, Carmen’s name was all sorts of intertwined in the historical beef between Jay Z and Nas. In a track called ‘Super Ugly’, Mr. Carter alluded to the fact that he (and ex-NBA baller, Allen Iverson) had both been intimate with Carmen. The new 40-year-old rapper (Jay) rhymed:
Me and the boy AI got more in common than just balling and rhyming
Get it? More in Carmen
I c*me in your Bentley backseat, sk**ted in your Jeep
Left condoms on your baby seat…
Ouch! Both parties have since moved on, but Carmen’s name has remained in the public some-what.
In 2006, she released a tell-all book called, It’s No Secret: From Nas to Jay-Z, from Seduction to Scandal–a Hip-Hop Helen of Troy Tells All.
Fast forward to the present day and there has been UNCONFIRMED reports that Carmen is one of the newest cast members of Love & Hip Hop (NY). As you know, last week VH1 released the first trailer for the show, with no Carmen in-sight. So unless they bring her on, mid-season, it doesn’t look like she’ll be on that particular show. No word on whether Destiny, Nas and Carmen’s daughter will appear on any rumored show. Again, this is pure hearsay, but it’s absolutely reliable ‘buzz’, if you can read between the lines. Anywho, what are your thoughts of Carmen joining the reality TV realm. Interested or not so much?
