O.J. Simpson Has Given His Life To the Lord, Plans To Become A Televangelist
We all should be given a chance at redemption, right? Apparently, that’s what O.J. Simpson is hoping for. The former NFL’er, who has been incarcerated since 2008 for armed robbery and kidnapping, has given his life over to the lord. According to his manager, he has been ministering inmates for some time now. In a recent interview he explained:
O.J. is very religious now, and he’s been counseling other inmates with Bible studies for months. When I talk to him on the phone, all he wants to discuss is religion. He’s obsessed!
Simpson is planning to bring ‘Holy Safari’ to the masses. Reportedly, he has been inspired by televangelist Frederick Price and his popular ‘Ever Increasing Faith’ ministry series. An unnamed faith based TV network is also in negotiations to broadcast the program. Currently, his manager is working with a production team to produce a documentary from taped interviews. Kenny Saylors, who directed the documentary, stated
O.J. has rediscovered his faith and we’re interested in working with him. We’ve come to the conclusion that prison has actually set him free.
Although, Simpson isn’t scheduled for parole until 2017, he petitioned for a new trial and with the judge reviewing his appeal he is hoping to be granted release by Christmas.
