Vanessa Simmons & Mike Wayans Welcome Baby Girl: Ava Marie Jean Wayans

A new celebrity baby has arrived!

Vanessa Simmons (the daughter of Rev. Run) and Mike Wayans (son of Damon Wayans) have a delivered a health baby girl.

Angela’s uncle Danny Simmons confirmed the news on his personal Facebook page, writing:

Angela just told me im a grand uncle …vanessa had a lil girl…@ rush hearts fund raiser.

He later shared the new Simmons-Wayans baby name adding:

My brand spanking new Grand niece is named Ava Marie Jean Waynans…you go mommy Vanessa …

Last October, the couple officially announced that they were pregnant, telling US Weekly.

We are both very excited about the birth of our first child. We totally were expecting it to be [a] boy all along but got very surprised when we found out it was indeed a girl. I immediately went out and brought a cute [little] outfit for her right after the appointment.

Vanessa was initially nervous about telling her father who is very spiritual, adding:

I was so nervous telling my dad at first being that I’m not married YET but he was very excited and is supportive 100 percent. His concern is just that I’m happy. Both families are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new baby girl. She’s coming into two huge families waiting to give her lots of love.

Reportedly, Mike and Vanessa have been dating for eight years. Neither have confirmed the news yet.
