Actress Bresha Webb Joins Romany Malco In Kevin Hart Comedy Pilot, ‘Keep It Together’
Comedian and actress Bresha Webb joins ‘Think Like Like A Man’ star Romany Malco for the Kevin Hart ABC pilot, ‘Keep It Together’. Malco will portray Derek and Webb as Lorraine in the semi autobiographical sitcom loosely based on Hart’s stand up act, highlighting a divorced couple, attempting to build a friendship for the sake of their children, despite their differences.
As we previously reported, Webb who also stars in TV One’s ‘Love That Girl‘ was a finalist in’ Saturday Night Live”s search for black female cast members. In an exclusive interview with The Jasmine Brand, Bresha discussed the audition process for her and the other women:
The audition came about from an inside source from SNL. I don’t think any of us had a clue about the showcase until two days prior. It was an awesome opportunity even though it was such a short notice but, if you stay ready you ain’t gotta get ready and we were READY! Lol But we were all honored to be selected.
We were all very supportive of each other and there was no sense of competition or pettiness. We were just happy that some new black women in comedy were being considered and given a shot. We even held hands prayed after the showcase. It was refreshing.
Breasha expressed her excitement at the new gig via Twitter and Instagram posting,
Look at GOD! Yessss! #BMORESTANDUP! Look at my TV Ex Husband @romanymalco! I’m so honored to be working with him! Thank you ABC and @kevinhart4real!
Kevin has also committed to a recurring role on the show.
Congrats!
