Celebrity Dopeness: John Wall, Nicki Minaj Grant 5 Year Old Cancer Patients Wish
We loveeee when celebrities use their star power for good! And kudos goes to one A-lister in particular, Nicki Minaj. With the help of NBA Washington Wizard, John Wall, these two celebs are making one fan in particular a very happy little girl. Meet 5-year old cancer patient Miyah, who under great circumstances, has something to smile about in hopes of meeting her idol, Nicki and snagging a signature pink wig of her own.
Miyah, who was diagnosed with Stage 3B Burkitt’s lymphoma late last year, has just one wish–to meet Nicki Minaj and have a signature pink wig from the ‘harajuku barbie’. Miyah has already endured seven chemo treatments to date and is still having slight issues with the after effects of treatment.
The recent Slam Dunk champion and seasoned point guard (Wall) has taken up Miyah’s campaign driving his own social media collective, using the hashtags #HelpMiyahMeetNicki and #PinkWigForMiyah to get Nicki’s attention.
The All-Star point guard took to Instagram to post an adorable video he filmed with Miyah to help get Nicki’s attention. He started with the proposal via instagram sharing the photo below.
He wrote:
Fans I need your help to get my buddy Miyah’s wish granted. She’s a 5 year old battling cancer and her wish is to meet Nicki Minaj and get one of her pink wigs! I need your help, comment on this photo.
Nicki caught wind of Miyah’s story and responded:
Hi Miyah!!!! Let’s see what we can come up with for a pretty little princess. ;) http://t.co/vfPiHtIs6U
In return, John thanked Nicki for making the wish possible via twitter:
S/o to @nickiminaj for helping make Miyah’s wish come true and thanks to all who RT’d
