Rapper Wale Allegedly Punches Disrespectful Man At WWE Match
Did Wale’s (real name Olubowale Victor Akintimehin) temper get the best of him?
Reportedly, the 29-year-old rapper laid hands on someone, literally after someone popped slick on Twitter and in person. According to TMZ, the incident started when a man started taunting him, at a WWE ‘Raw’ match in Washington, D.C. The site reports:
Rap star Wale PUNCHED A GUY IN THE FACE at a WWE event Monday night — and judging by the way security rushed in to break it up, it appeared to be 100% REAL.
It all went down at “Raw” in Washington D.C. — TMZ spoke with eyewitness Jawn Murray from AlwaysAlist.com who says Wale was sitting right behind the announcers enjoying the show … when some fan seated nearby began taunting the rapper.
Murray says Wale eventually got up out of his seat and “the next thing I know Wale is putting the smackdown on dude. Punched him dead in his face. It was a full fight.”
Security rushed over and broke up the fight — and took everyone involved into a hallway. Moments later, Wale returned to his seat and began snacking on popcorn like nothing happened.
We’re told the other guy is also back in his seat.
Jawn also tweeted about the incident, writing:
Wrestling just got real! Dude was on Twitter talking smack about @Wale at WWE #RAW in DC. Looked up & Wale was puttin the #Smackdown on him! WWE security ran over to try & break things up! Everyone went in the hallway & now @Wale back chillin in his seat eating popcorn! #RAW Much respect to @Wale for handling ole boy for being disrespectful! I bet he won’t threaten anyone else on Twitter! #RAW Yo @WWE, book @Wale for #Wrestlemania this weekend! After what I saw tonight, he’s at deserves a shot at the Intercontinental Title! #RAW
It looks like the beef initially began on Twitter, when the alleged taunter tweeted a few jabs at the rapper.
No official response from Wale’s camp or alleged victim. [TMZ, AlwaysAList, Twitter]
