‘You stole my life away from me. I’m angry!’ Tina Campbell Contemplates Leaving Her Husband
To say that Tina Campbell is angry, would be an understatement. After learning that her husband had been unfaithful to her, she is LIVID. How do we know? In an upcoming episode of We TV’s Mary Mary, the sisters have a emotional conversation about just how upset Tina really is.
Tina yells at her sister, Erica:
Since then, I’ve found out about more and I don’t want to hold onto somebody who I can not trust…You see, I have been trying, since the very beginning…You gon’ keep adding people? You gon’ keep adding people? I thought we had a good life just like everybody else watching! I thought we was the ideal relationship just like everybody else. And I got to find out in front of the whole God dang world that all of my life was a lie? And you want me to quote scriptures right now? I’ve never kissed another man. I never went out with another man….I never cheated in my head…You stole my life away from me. I’m angry! Why you gotta do this to me man, I was good to you. I was good to you! I don’t want him. I don’t want him. I don’t want him. He don’t deserve me.
You ain’t never been through it. I have. Imma tell you how you get better. Even though you want to be negative, you make a conscious effort and a decision like fighting, a n*gga on the street. And work toward positive, that’s all you can do…
To this, Tina responds:
Y’all want me to be saver than I am! I love Jesus. I wanna be like Jesus, but I’m not Jesus!

Wow. However things play out in her marriage, i hope that Tina eventually releases her anger. I undertand why she has and deserves to be angry but too much anger is like too much food or too much alcohol. It will make you sick and.

I totally understand her hurt and anger, but what I dont understand is her being in the media and taking the blame for her husband’s affair.
I agree with you! I don’t understand how she is taking blame for him cheating. It is not her fault that he did what he did. Clearly he has a problem because it wasn’t just one women it was many and I do mean many the way he is making it sound. I commend her for being open about it but at the end of the day it is nobody business but hers & his because we don’t live under that roof.
Tina was very brave to tell her story her way. The media would have turned this really ugly. Not saying that it isn’t, but she is telling her truth her way. I applaud her for the strength she has.
I watched the episode last week when he told her there was more.That was so real and powerful.I been there before,you don’t understand that kinda pain unless you been through it.I know people mean well,but her mom and her sister kept telling her to kinda get over it.You have to allow the anger,that’s how you go through it to get to the other side.You go up and down until you work it out.That sh#& takes a minute.They need to just be there for her and don’t say nothing.
I guess Erica still talking about she was the one cheating??? My heart goes out to Tina. It has to be gut wrenching pain- but to have to live your pain out in front of the whole world AND be a christian about it….too much. prayers for her and her family.

Tina right they need to let her feel what she feel so she can get over it. And while she doing that she still need to be dropping to her knees praying asking God to help her in the mist of all this because with all that pain she has only God can help her release that. I felt her pain…WOW.

Tina and Erica need to take off time and study the Word and pray. They may need to change church to go to where they can hear the word that will help them grow into maturity in Christ. Tina is a bit naïve- she seems so shocked that her husband has been sleeping around as though she is the first woman it ever happened to. I don’t believe it is her fault at all. Her husband has self-esteem issues. I mean, his wife is a super-talented grammy award singer and a very strong woman. He recently lost his gig with Joe Leno & has been struggling to make it as a singer. No doubt he is a talented singer but has not gotten the right song that can propel him to success. Looking at him, I think he is depressed and dependent on Tina( she’s like a mom to him). I believe he loves her but not enough to keep his vows. I think that even if she forgives him, he will surely cheat again- so much to the point that she will be too embarrassed to talk about it no more. This has been affecting her career because she has not been secure in that relationship for a while now. Ted is not happy & it is unfair for him to blame Tina in anyway. I think he has no self control and he needs deliverance because he is a carnal Christian. He needs to change church also to a place where he can grow spiritually- he need to go back into the word of God & meditate. We need to pray for them. God is able.
You said it best! They do need to leave TV, music, etc…alone for a while and mediate on the word & pray. I feel they have lost they meaning because they are so wrapped up in the celebrity status now and have lost the meaning of they purpose. I don’t think they can ministry in music because it looks like now they are just doing it for the money. They need to regroup and get back to the word of God. I wish them well but I think Tina & Erica both need to break away.
