See What Love & Hip Hop’s Mendeecees Harris Has Been Up to Since Prison Release
It feels good to be Love & Hip Hop reality star, Mendeecees Harris. Last week, his fiancee Yandy Smith, announced that the 35-year-old had been released from prison. Sharing the announcement on Instagram, she wrote:
Daddy’s Home!
Mendeecees, who had proposed to Yandy before heading to jail, had been incarcerated over a year. He is accused of a role in a New York City-based drug ring that included his brother, Tyrus Harris, and another man, Ronald Walker. According to USA Today, Tyrus plead guilty recently, and Walker plead guilty last year. According to reports, the alleged drug ring transported cocaine to the Rochester region, federal authorities claim.
While his close friends and family are THRILLED that he’s returned home, a few are speculating as to why he’s been able to post bail. According to HipHollywood, the reality star and music producer, who was taken into custody in January 2013 for his alleged involvement with a heroin and cocaine drug ring, was released on $600,000.00 bail. Harris and Smith appeared in federal court in Rochester early April and U.S. District Judge Frank Geraci Jr. agreed to release Harris on a “bond package.” That’s when Yandy agreed to front $200,000.00 of the set bail.
So what has he been up to these days? From the looks of things, he’s spending some much needed quality time with his children and fiance, along with close friends Juelz Santa and his girlfriend, Kimbella. We’re told the VH1 cameras have been rolling and will continue the couple’s storyline on the next season.
