August Alsina Teams up With Fabolous For ‘Get Ya Money’
New Orleans native August Alsina teams up with Brooklyn emcee Fabolous for a new collaboration titled “Get Ya Money”. The mid-tempo track can be found on August’s new album Produced by Dun Deal and DJ Spinz titled ‘Testimony’ which will be available in stores next week.
A video for ‘Get Ya Money’ has already been shot and expected to be released any day now. Alsina explains his collaboration with Fabolous, telling MinaSayWhat
I bumped into Fab in New York and we just connected. It was just a vibe…Fab is one of those people, that he a genuine guy and got a good heart. I could tell, I could feel it in his spirit.
The song, about a man admiring the work ethic of a stripper, is clearly understood by Fabolous’ verse:
We grind together, we shine together
Show the same folk how to double
Two wrongs don’t make it right
But two strongs make a power couple
And our trouble is small talkers
Talking down on the big spenders
But the winners focus on the win
And sore losers focus on the winners
‘Testimony’ will be available for purchase on April 15th via Def Jam Records. Along with Fab, the 15-track deluxe edition of the album features guest appearances from Rick Ross,Jeezy, Pusha T, Trinidad James, and Yo Gotti. Pre-order now over on iTunes and Listen to the full song below:
