Sally asked Shepherd to be his wife on December 26 with a 3-carat princess-cut diamond ring (worth an estimated $70,000).
After their engagement, Sherri beamed on The View:
This man not only loves me, but he adores my son. And my son adores him.
Shepherd was married to comedian Jeff Tarpley from 2001-2009; they have one child together, son Jeffrey, 5. The two divorced after she allegedly discovered that he was having an affair. Sherri has yet to comment public on the validity of this report.

omg! I hope this is not true. She was so in love with him.
That just goes to show you that sometimes you need to keep relationships private. She was all on tv talking about that man day in and day out only to be leaving him? That’s what happened with Star Jones and she looked extra foolish when her and Al just ended up divorced. Hope it isn’t true and just a rumor.
