[WATCH] New Girl Group ‘Love, Dollhouse’ Talks Rihanna and TLC feud + Working For Russell Simmons
On how the group came together:
Jasmine: Ryan and I actually grew up together and we went to middle school together and that’s when we formed the group about in 7th grade.
Ryan: Yeah, we’ve been together for about almost 8 years now and we just met Chelsea last year, she auditioned and added a third.
Jasmine: And it feels like she’s been in the group forever.
On who they would like to feature on their album:
Ryan: We have thought about features and we have asked them, yes. Like Drake, he’s a big one, Kendrick, all of these super people.
Jasmine: Kendrick…
Chelsea: That’s about it.
On anyone in the industry approaching them about sex:
Jasmine: No.
Ryan: No.
On how they got their group name from:
Jasmine: Love Dollhouse, it’s actually like Love comma Dollhouse. It was kind of like an open letter.
Ryan: The dollhouse part is just like, who didn’t love doll’s when they were younger. We sit there and we had dolls who are individuals to us and they were like powerful and strong and that’s what we feel like we emulate today still. This creativity, to be whoever you want to be, each girl in this world can have their favorite doll whether it’s Chelsea, Ryan or Jasmine or different reasons, ya know.
