[VIDEO] Robin Thicke: I Haven’t Seen Paul in 4 Months, I Got a Little Too Selfish & Greedy.
Robin Thicke is not only pouring out his hear in his new album PAULA, but he’s also even more transparent in interviews. This week, he stopped by Hot 97 to promote his new project and of course the topic of his estranged wife, Paula Patton came up. As previously reported, Thicke and Patton separated in February 2014, after almost nine years of marriage. They had been dating since he was 14.
During his interview, he reveals takes full blame for their break-up, admits to lying throughout their marriage and says that he hasn’t seen Paula for four months. Check out a few excerpts of his conversation.
If he and Paula REALLY are done:
I mean yeah, I try to keep most of that private but…yeah, I haven’t seen her in four months man….And you know we’re cool and she’s the best girl in the world, great mother and still a good friend but you know because we weren’t ever together anymore and I still had so much I wanted to apologize to her for and things I wanted to take responsibility for — that’s pretty much what the album is about. But I also want to wish her well and let her know that she’s a great person and she deserves to have a good life and that’s not all a negative album…
How Paula feels about the album:
She hasn’t heard it. She’s only heard a few songs. I don’t think she wants to hear it right now. I think she probably, I can’t speak for her but, space is an important part for any healing process..
